Das Zimmer istI’m moving out of my lovely room in Wallisellen in May. Move in date is negotiable but around mid May is ideal.

Transport: very good links. Close to train/bus/tram station (3 minute walk), with six trains per hour to Zurich HB (9 minutes ride, with 1 stop at Oerlikon). 17 minutes to airport by bus (759) or tram (12). Also close to a nice wood area where you can walk.

Shops: very close to Coop and Migros, and a short walk to Denner. Bus ride to Aldi.

Rent: 770-800chf per month. Rent will be going up from 770 because of electricity prices but will not be more than 800. Includes all bills (electricity, wifi, etc). 1500 deposit and 30 days notice to move out.

Room: You’ll have a room on the first floor of a 3 floor house. 17.5m2, and divided into a bedroom, study, and sink area by mini-walls. Comes furnished. You’ll be on the ground floor, with the landlord (Tanja, very friendly and Swiss, I’ve had no issues with her after living there for 6 months) living in apartment upstairs with her family. You share the kitchen and bathroom* with two people (Francesco and Claudia, 22-23 year old Italian students), who are friendly and uncomplicated, and also on the ground floor. The kitchen has oven, induction stove, fridge and freezer, and dishwasher.
Free laundry in basement (machines shared with landlord). There is also a large terrace area that you can access via your window or Francesca’s room, nice for summer
*The bathroom is clean and modern with free weekly cleaning (as it is used by a male masseuse and his clients who works on the same floor during weekdays working hours, though in practise you’re not likely to see them).
