The flat is located in a quiet neighborhood on the border between Oerlikon and Affoltern. The room is ~10m2, bright with large window facing the small park behind the building. There will be some furniture left in the room for sale by the previous tenant: a large wardrobe (free), a bed, desk, and chair (300 Fr - must be purchased). Everything else in the room can optionally also be purchased and would cost an extra 150 Fr (in total 450 Fr). The flat was renovated in 2019 (new kitchen and bathroom), it is a 3-bedroom apartment with a large living room, a separate kitchen and a balcony. The room rent is 780 Fr. per month which includes nebenkosten and fiber internet, but not the electricity and not the RTV tax (Billag) - the additional costs are about 20-30 Fr. per month per person. A security deposit is 3x the rent. The room will be available to move in on 1.06.2024.
We are looking for
We are looking for an easy-going person who likes to keep the common space tidy, non-smoking (!), ideally in a similar situation as we are in (a PhD student or a post-doc, young professional, etc.), and speaking English. We are
We are two guys: Karol, the main tenant, who came to Zurich a few years ago for an engineering PhD and now works at a startup company, and Othman, who works for an IT company. Neither of us speaks German! We are quiet and very easy going so the flat is a comfortable place to study or have some rest after a hard day :)
